Description of The Tensile Tests
Laserextensometer

A Laser Extensometer of the Type Cross Scanner was used for strain measurement and determination of characteristic values. The Tensile Tester was an Instron 5567. The load cell had a capacitiy of 30 kN. The Laser Extensometer records the load signal as an analog voltagel ± 10 V.

The specimen was strained until rupture with a traverse speed of 5 mm/s. The laser beam for lateral strain follows the markers to measure the lateral strain allways at the same place on the specimen.

Proben vor dem Zugversuch Proben nach dem Zugversuch

The specimen was marked with titanium dioxid. This powder is deposited at the specimens surface and follows the deformation of the specimen completely to guarantee an exact determination of the characteristic values.
